The tenth annual meeting of the Society for Environmental Law and Economics will be held on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 June 2018 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Our meeting will be sponsored by Notre Dame Law School and held at its facility in downtown Chicago.
We hope to build upon the great success of past meetings, and continue to build a community of environmental scholars interested in working in the intersection of law, economics, and environmental or natural resource issues. We welcome both theoretical and empirical papers, as well as studies looking at problems at local, state, national, and international levels.
In the spirit of collegiality, the meeting will use a workshop format in which all sessions are plenary. Please note that *all* participants are expected to attend *all* of the presentations. Our goal is to create a program that includes a variety of disciplinary perspectives, ideally consisting of 20-25 papers over the two-day period.
No funding will be available for travel or lodging expenses. Food and drink will be provided during the workshop and a dinner will be hosted on Friday evening for the speakers.
To submit a paper, please email a Word or PDF file to Bruce Huber (email@example.com) with the subject line “SELE SUBMISSION,” by December 15, 2017. We will review all submissions and get back to you by January 15. Late submissions will not be considered except in exceptional circumstances.
Information regarding accommodation, the conference program, and other logistic matters will be posted here on the SELE blog in Spring 2018. Inquiries can be send to Bruce Huber (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please feel free to forward this call to any colleagues that you feel may be interested but may not be aware of SELE.
